Here’s some info about the next events in July:

Friday, July 6 – Saturday, July 7,   6 p.m. – 10 a.m.
Whatcom County Relay for life at Battersby Park (across from Whatcom Middle School)  in Bellingham. Join families from last year’s 4th grade class as they walk to honor the battle against cancer that one of their classmates faced this year. Join the team and help walk through the night, make a donation to the team page, or just stop by the event on Friday night or Saturday morning.  There are food vendors, team fundraiser sales, live music, and activities. As dusk falls, the luminarias are lit to light the way for walkers throughout the night. An inspiring event for a worthy cause.

Visit the St. Paul’s Academy Team Page  or  Contact Barbara Overson, team captain, for details at

Wednesday, July 11, 2018   10:30 a.m. – 2:30 p.m.
Family Day at Camp Saturna
This is your chance to explore and enjoy one of our school’s outdoor education resources. Camp Saturna is situated at the north end of Silver Lake, just past Silver Lake County Park and Campground, and just a few minutes north of the Maple Falls community.

Join fellow SPA families for a play day on the lake. There’s a swimming area, canoes, and plenty of open space to picnic and play. Bring your swimsuits, a picnic lunch, chairs/blankets, life jackets, water toys or lawn games, and a snack to share. PALS has graciously offered to provide beverages and dessert. Note: Parents are responsible for supervising and safety of their own children. Parents must stay on-site with their children at all times.

Summer Construction Prep Party
All hands on deck! We need your help to get our sites ready for our fence building projects.  The day is split into two-hour shifts, but you’re welcome to sign up for more than one! It will be lots of weed pulling, bagging yardwaste and debris, and loading into trucks for delivery to the dump. If we have lots of help, we should be able to finish prepping both areas in one day!
