Peter Howard-Snyder attended Franklin Academy (St. Paul’s Academy) from kindergarten in 2005 to eighth grade in 2014. He graduated from The University of Washington with a BA in Philosophy and BS in Psychology (Cum Laude). Peter plans to work for a year and earn a master’s degree in marriage and family therapy.

William Howard-Snyder attended Franklin Academy (St. Paul’s Academy) from kindergarten in 2005 to eighth grade in 2014. He graduated this June with a BA in Philosophy (Cum Laude) and a BS in Computer Science with university and departmental honors. William will start a program in Computer Science at the University of Washington in September. He plans to apply to Ph.D. programs after that and hopes to pursue a research career in computational biology and medicine.

“Our children have truly thrived in the small classes, and they have thoroughly enjoyed the exposure to a STEM-based curriculum. They are frequently budding with excitement to share their latest artistic masterpiece, or about new words that have expanded their Spanish vocabulary. While the academic engagement has been high, our children have also made many new friendships. They are expanding their social-emotional skill set as they are able to be in school with peers and have wonderful mentors.”

“Our family relocated to Bellingham in 2016, we discovered The Franklin Academy, shortly after that. Franklin has helped both our kids come out of their shells. Being from Trinidad and Tobago, education is very important to our family and the school has allowed the kids to grow socially and academically while constantly pushing them forward.
We appreciate the small class sizes, the caring teachers, and the diversity at the school.”

We briefly tried a preschool that was closer to home in Bow, but quickly realized we missed the quality, safety, and curriculum of The Franklin Academy. This solidified our decision to have our girls attend all the way through 8th grade.”

[They] got the academic foundation we expected (being on track for multiple Advanced Placement classes, being comfortable in Spanish two as a freshman, good grades, etc.).
