Community Fitness Challenge:

After the sports awards, the Community Fitness Awards were presented. At the beginning of the year, a SPA Community Fitness Challenge was announced. This was a way to celebrate and encourage our SPA family to participate in community fitness.  On a board in the basement, upcoming fitness events were posted and if student/staff/parent participated in any community fitness events, they could submit a picture with event info to be posted. The first event posted made the student/staff/parent an Achiever. After completing three events they became a Hardcore Achieve and a Savagely Hardcore Achiever after five events. Now, I had to add one more category Epically Savage Hardcore Achiever after completing 10 events. Our Achievers were: Pepper Berry, H. L., Simon L., Olvia S., Suzanne G. (teacher), and Jamie L. (parent). Our Savagely Hardcore Achiever (5events) was Stuart W.. And our Epically Savage Hardcore Achiever was Lilly C.. Thanks to our local YMCA , constantly promoting community fitness, for donating free passes for all the participants. We’d also like to thank another big community fitness supporter Fairhaven Runners for donating water bottles and a backpack to our top two categories.

TRAILBLAZERS

June 10 run: Words From Coach Jen Gallant
“The Girls on the Run 5K was a big success! Over 700 runners came out last Saturday to support the Girls on the Run and Trailblazer program participants. We are very grateful for all of the families who made the event so special and FUN!”

We are so proud of all of the students on their athletic endeavors and we would like to thank all of the parents, administration, and board for supporting our athletic efforts here at St. Paul’s Academy.
