Great news about St. Paul’s track team at this week’s qualifiers! We had six people qualify for championships. This daunting task required athletes to place top four in lane events, top five in the mile, or top six in field events.

Porter broke a tie to get 4th place in the 100m dash. I was at the finish line biting my nails as the next person was 0.04s behind.

Evan and Gus also finished close together in their rivalry with half a second apart.

John and Cam drained every last drop of energy to get 3rd and 4th in the 800m making it to championships; Both got PRs and now hold 1st and 2nd in the school record.

Gavin cut out 22 seconds off of his PR to break 7 minutes!

Grace also peaked to break six minutes and get second in the mile.

We had two people qualify in discus both placing 6th: Tommy and Anastasia!

Congrats to our runners and throwers for PRs and moving onto the championships!
