Let me ask you the first six questions of the interview process:

  1. Have you ever wondered what it would be like to read the story of Esther with the local Jewish Rabbi while wearing a brightly colored wig?

  1. Do you look at a group of 200 students and think, “Wow, I’d love to be a part of leading that group in worship?”

  1. Does serving a meal to the Guests at the Lighthouse Mission with a bunch of teenagers sound like fun to you?

  1. Have you ever wondered what it’d be like to lead a worship service with folks from the Sikh Gurdwara?

  1. Do you look at a picture of middle school students leading worship during Advent and think, “Wow, I’d love to be a part of that?”

  1. Take a look at the list of religions we have with us at Saint Paul’s Academy in the photo below.  I realize that you’ve never thought about leading a Protestant worship service for teenagers in an environment like this.  But pause for a moment and consider it.

Saint Paul’s Academy is currently looking for a worship leader with experience in teaching youth how to lead worship to serve our Middle and High School.

Chapel is on Tuesday and Thursday, Middle School worships from 10:30am-11:00am, and High School from 11:45am-12:15 pm.  Pay is $25/chapel, so it comes to $100/week.

I get to learn how to live out my faith alongside students who ask hard questions and staff who provide outstanding feedback.  I’m overseen by a committee comprised of Protestants, Catholics, Orthodox, and Agnostics.  What we need is somebody who can assist me by leading in a worship style that connect to teens, and help teens connect to what the Spirit is already doing in their lives.

I know you’ve never thought about anything like this before, because NOBODY is thinking about anything like this.  But it’s real, it’s devoted to Christ, it’s amazing, and it might be for you.
