Education: City University, M.A Curriculum and Instruction with and emphasis in Technology in the classroom; University of Washington, B.A. Mathematics Education

Ole Hedahl was born in Maryland to a military family and has lived in all parts of the country. When his father retired, they settled down in western Washington north of Seattle. He attended the University of Washington, where he earned a B.A. in Mathematics Education. Several years later, he completed his M.A. at City University in Curriculum and Instruction with an emphasis in Technology in the classroom.

The first twenty-five years of his teaching career were in Tahoma School District, southeast King County. Ole taught all levels of math in both the high school and middle school and served as department head of the math department. Ole then accepted a position in the Bellevue School District teaching computer technology classes, including AP Computer Science and business classes.

An opportunity arose to serve as a private school administrator of 450 students at his local church. When his wife found the “perfect job” in Wenatchee, he found a bilingual (Spanish/English) math position at the high school. His bilingual skills were then put to good use as an adjunct professor at the local college.

Recently, the Hedahls moved to the Bellingham area to be near relatives, including their grandchildren. Ole is very excited to work again in a private school setting where parents care for their children so much they are willing to commit time and resources for them. Ole enjoys hiking, biking and other outdoor activities.

A favorite saying:

Trust in the LORD with all your heart

and lean not on your own understanding;

in all your ways submit to him,

and he will make your paths straight.
