The Franklin Academy is a 501 (c) 3 non-profit organization governed by a voluntary Board of Trustees. The Board is made up of parents, grandparents, alumni, and community members whose time and expertise contribute to the operations of the school. The Board’s major responsibilities are to:

  • Hire and evaluate the school’s Head of School.
  • Define the schools’ mission and set policies.
  • Set the vision and strategic direction of the school.
  • Observe and monitor programs and services the school provides.

All parents of students at The Franklin Academy are members of our parent association, PALS. Every year, PALS has the opportunity to elect one parent to The Franklin Academy Board of Trustees to serve as a representative of PALS, and thus represent the interests of the school parents as a member of the Board of Trustees (August – July).
