Dr. Frank James will be speaking at St. Paul’s Academy to fifth through 12th graders addressing the Core Commitment of CARE as the ninth speaker in the series of SPA TALKS (A Platform Where Ideas and Inspiration are Shared).

Based in Bellingham, Dr. Frank James leads a worldwide practice in medicine and public health, and is also a teacher, a researcher, and a philanthropist. In addition to his own travel medicine clinic, he is the Health Officer for both San Juan Countyand the Nooksack Tribe, and is an Clinical Assistant Professor at the University of Washington’s School of Public Health. Dr. James helps lead service projects in Nepal, Taiwan, East Timor, and India, where he helped found the Jhamtse Gatsal Children’s Community — a remarkable school and home in the Himalayas for at-risk children.The school was featured in the award-winning film Tashi and the Monk, now on HBO.
